Photo journal no 11: Crete

Almost exactly a year ago I traveled to the Greek island of Crete with a team of very talented and creative women. During a week we produced a cookbook with food cooked by the loveliest Cretan women. (More about the book in an earlier post, go here.) I shot lots and lots and many of the photos are printed in the book. I’ve looked through all images I shot again. Somehow my mind brings back strong memories of a trip a year later. Usually also only the good parts, making me want to go again. Trips are usually mostly good and so was this one. I’ve chosen some new images and edited them to reflect what my feeling of this trip is now a year later. (Some of the photos from Crete are already in my printshop, see a post about that here.) blue and purple tones of the print shop

There used to be two different print shops. One for nature/flowers photography and one for travel. Now everything is in the same shop. One way to use the images on a wall is to combine the blue and purple tones. Go to https://www.etsy.com/se-en/shop/UlrikaEkblomPhoto and see all the images! Continue reading

my office space in the studio

This is my office space in the studio, located in Uppsala, Sweden. I recently painted the wall behind the desk green. The desk is actually my mother-in-law’s, bought new in the seventies by her and my father-in-law. She has no space for it since she moved and it looks really good in my studio. I love the soft green color on the wall and how it works with my nature and flower art prints. I also love the seventies chair and the old concrete floor and the old radiator and the beautiful window. Having my nature prints around me like this when I work makes me see what the next step in my work process is. Take a look into my shop to see all images and all the new ones. https://ulrikaekblomphoto.patternbyetsy.com Continue reading

new in the printshop and a scholarship

(scroll down for English)

I varje fall vad gäller kontakter. Titta väldigt gärna in i min shop med natur/växtbilder!   https://www.etsy.com/se-en/shop/UlrikaEkblomPhoto Continue reading
