Four more photography art prints available as large size prints

Four more in this series of sixteen. To see all of them visit the web shop at https://www.etsy.com/se-en/shop/UlrikaEkblomPhoto

When I started making these images I had an idea that I wanted to shape what I could find of wild flowers into abstract shapes. Some geometric and some towards the organic. Controlling the shapes as much as possible with living flowers. I also wanted the images to add color to a home or a space. In a discreet way with a smaller print or as a statement piece with the large format print. The images are photographed with a Hasselblad, a very high quality camera. This high quality, high resolution make the images very detailed in a large print when looking close. When looking at the print farther away it is about the shape and color.

Bougainvilleas on Crete, Magnolias in Paris, Wisteria on a street in Copenhagen as prints.

Orange bougainvillea photo print. Ulrika Ekblom Photography.
The orange bougainvillea photo print. I took the photo on a work trip to Crete, Greece.

These images are the ones of my images that are at the moment most popular on Pinterest. I use Pinterest so much, I get lots of inspiration for a lot of different things in my life both worklife and homelife. For work I make mood boards for specific projects like my photo prints or the cook books I make. It is very easy to share ideas when working together with other people. I’ve been collecting images for many years as well as sharing my own. Here are some of my own that are the most popular on Pinterest at the moment and all of them are also photography prints in my print shop. All images are linked to the print shop.

New in the shop: Sets of two prints

Jelly fish and fish pond

I’ve been playing around with my prints from the Print Shop and paired them two and two. It’s a lot of fun because it can change the feeling of the photo, it becomes something new. When pairing images you can think in colors, contrasting or in harmony with each other. You can think a theme, or a matching light. There are many ways to do it. I have small prints of all my work so I combine them in real life to see what I like. After that I combine them in photoshop. Here are a few of them all linked to the shop.

Photo Journal no 14: Lo Scoglio in Massa Lubrense, Italy

A few years ago, not that many, in the beginning of the summer I traveled to Napoli in Italy. On my third day in Napoli I and the group I traveled with went on a day trip to the Sorrento Peninsula and the tiny village of Massa Lubrense where we had lunch. The restaurant is Lo Scoglio. A family run restaurant where they grow all their own vegetables and get their fish and seafood in the ocean just outside the restaurant. The food and the surroundings I will never forget and this is what it looks like.
