I’ve wanted to make images with pink and white currants for a while. I’ve never seen them in the supermarket and I don’t grow them in my tiny garden either. So about two weeks ago I was thinking about these berries again and went in to town for errands. I made sure to pass by the Saturday market and was so lucky to find one woman who sold white and pink currants from her garden. I also got some gooseberries and red currants. When I finally had these beautiful, pearl, jewel like berries in my possession I started making images. I finally had to stop the image-making when the berries weren’t as fresh any longer. But I ended up with quite many images that are now in my Etsy print shop.

Food photography is something I love and know a lot about since I have been making food images for about fifteen years. I’ve made images for more than forty cook books and for many magazines.
