Paris a few days ago. My favourite trips are with my family even though we usually want to do different things. Two grown-ups, two teenagers. I spent more time in the very busy part of rue Rivoli shopping for clothes than I really had planned or wanted to due to my 16 year old daughter’s need to shop. When she is happy, I’m happy. But I did end up buying a very inexpensive pink sweater at Forever 21 and some earrings at Mango. Also thanks to my daughter we went on top of the Arc de Triomphe and I got to shoot the image above from above the Champs-Élysées. First time for me up there and I recommend it. Beautiful view , interesting history, not very expensive, the line wasn’t bad and a very healthy climb up stairs to get there. I love walking around with my camera looking for great shots and I think my daughter is starting to like photography too. This is good for me because then I’m not the only one stopping all the time, I’m always way behind the others. These shots are my dream of what Paris is, they are real but far from the whole story. I love that the trees had not turned green yet, these more brownish tones look so good together with the buildings and pink flowers, magnolias and cherry blossoms. More images of Paris to come in my next photo journal. Paris in the spring.
