Photo journal no 13: winter by the lake

I’m lucky to live close to a lake surrounded by beautiful nature. I take lots of walks and lots of photos here. A great thing about photographing nature (apart from it being so beautiful) is that it changes what it looks like all the time. The same tree, lake, shrubbery look different depending on light, season, time of day, snow, dry or wet, close up or far away and so many other things. So there are endless of images to make from the same place in nature if you’d be happy to stay in one place. All images in this post are taken around the lake close to my home in the winter. This is not what winter looks like right now. At this moment winter is warm and only brown and grey no white, which is of course also beautiful. I will show the brown and grey nature by the lake another day. These winter images are all now in my print shop. All images are linked to the shop or go here. Please take a look!

blue and purple tones of the print shop

There used to be two different print shops. One for nature/flowers photography and one for travel. Now everything is in the same shop. One way to use the images on a wall is to combine the blue and purple tones. Go to and see all the images!

When you buy 3 or more you get 20 % off. Code is 20for3.

my office space in the studio

This is my office space in the studio, located in Uppsala, Sweden. I recently painted the wall behind the desk green. The desk is actually my mother-in-law’s, bought new in the seventies by her and my father-in-law. She has no space for it since she moved and it looks really good in my studio. I love the soft green color on the wall and how it works with my nature and flower art prints. I also love the seventies chair and the old concrete floor and the old radiator and the beautiful window. Having my nature prints around me like this when I work makes me see what the next step in my work process is. Take a look into my shop to see all images and all the new ones.

new in the printshop and a scholarship

(scroll down for English)

I varje fall vad gäller kontakter. Titta väldigt gärna in i min shop med natur/växtbilder!

In English.

I’m slowly making changes in my work as a photographer I want to work more with photo art, more artistic. A scholarship I was very happy to receive in the beginning of the summer has made that even more possible for me. So I have since summer been working quiet a lot with images for my printshop. I’ve made time for me to work with my photography ideas. This takes time and I have noticed that if I have more time and time that is not interrupted by other projects I get further in my thinking and I get more done.  Making pieces as wall art is different from making it for books or magazines, though an image sometimes works for both. It feels excitingly new to me, but it also feels a little bit like I am starting from the beginning at least contact wise. I don’t have the same connections as I do in the food photography business yet. Take a look at all my botanical images in my shop!
