New cookbook Zeina’s Green Kitchen.

A few new cookbooks I’ve been working on were recently published. These images are from Zeina’s Green Kitchen by Zeina Mourtada. We decided on a colourful look for this book as we did for her first book. She loves color and so do I and it just goes really well with her food and who she is. She has a very popular instagram account @zeinaskitchen and a popular food website www.zeinaskitchen.se and the book is for sale here (all in Swedish). Continue reading

Cookbook from Crete with Jill Johnson and Maria Molin Ljunggren

Photographic print from the cookbook. To print.

In october I went on an inspiring assignment to the island of Crete in Greece to make a cookbook together with Jill Johnson and Maria Molin Ljunggren. The recipes are from Jill and Maria and the many Cretan women they have become friends with after many years visiting Crete. The theme is food from Crete and here are some of the huge amounts of photos I took for the book. You can read more about the book and get it here. Continue reading

Zeinas Kitchen cookbook

One more cookbook. I worked with this cookbook during last winter and spring and now ten months later when summer is coming to an end it is time for it to be published. As usual I have taken the photos and this time I worked with Zeina Mourtada. Zeina has a very popular Swedish food blog called Zeinas Kitchen and this is her first cookbook. The theme of the book is Middle Eastern food and everything in it is so good. What I loved about making this book was getting to know Zeina, working with colors, learning more about Middle Eastern food and that Zeina was open to so many of my ideas of color, props, backdrops. The book is published by Bonnier Fakta and the graphic design by Eva Wilsson. Continue reading

Safthushållning – new cookbook about making cordials out of flowers, vegetables, fruits and berries

I so much loved making this book. I think of many reasons. I love flowers. Vegetables, fruits and berries are so photogenic. I like that I had a bigger part in the styling and collecting of props than I usually have. More of that please! I liked going out in my wild garden in the morning before photoshoots collecting flowers and leaves. I liked coming up with different ideas for the images. I liked working close with Elisabeth Fock at Natur och Kultur (the publisher). I liked Petter Bergström‘s (the author) inventive recipes. I also love Kristin Lidströms book design. You can by the book here and here. Continue reading

Food Pharmacy kokboken

One year ago the first Food Pharmacy book was published. It turned out to be very popular and has been translated into 10 different languages, which means it’s available in even more countries. So we made another one called Food Pharmacy Kokboken (the cookbook). This book is about even more recipes for good intestinal flora, good bacteria and anti-inflammatory food. Great team with Mia Clase, Lina Nertby Aurell, Anna Lindelöw, Therese Elgquist and Linnéa von Zweigbergk and Cecilia Viklund from Bonnier Fakta. Continue reading

Cookbook with Ernst Kirchsteiger

I spend a big portion of my working time making cookbooks, which I love. Here is yet another one that was recently published. I’ve been working on this one for the last year. It’s with the, in Sweden, very popular Ernst Kirchsteiger. On the team was also Linda Berlin, prop stylist and Kristina Valentin, recipe tester and cook. The book is published by Bonnier Fakta. I mostly enjoyed shooting this book on location. Spending a few days in a part of Sweden where I ever hardly go, Värmland. By dark lakes, and blue forests in an old spooky mansion. A little scary but with beautiful places to shoot. Here are a few of my favorite images. Continue reading

Raw Fika – a raw food cookbook filled with sweets

When making this book I worked with the lovely Maria Carlsson and equally lovely Marina Asplund from the raw food café SthlmRaw in Stockholm. We shot all images at and around the café in central Stockholm. We used the city’s pavements, streets, walls, doors and I enjoyed it so much. I love shooting outside the studio, working with what I have around me. Continue reading

Proud to be a part of this new cookbook: Till Bords med Systrarna Eisenman.

Yesterday I finally received my first copy of the Swedish cookbook Till Bords med Systrarna Eisenman by Lisa Eisenman Frisk and Monica Eisenman. I took the photos. I started working on the book about a year ago and finally it’s here. It’s about gathering family and friends around the table, being and eating together. It covers both winter and summer so we have shot a lot outside for the summer and a little bit for the winter when we were lucky to have snow. I especially enjoyed taking all the photos of people for this book and of course working with Monica and Lisa again. Continue reading
